While most items will include brief washing instructions, we've compiled a more in-depth guide for taking care of any item you'll come across at Festival Drip.
Check out the full Festival Drip's Care Guide for Keeping Your Rave Outfits & Accessories Fresher, Softer, & Drippier here.
GENERAL WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Most items sold at Festival Drip are machine washable, but because they are new items with ink freshly set, we recommend washing your new items all by themselves, or hand washing them, for the first time only, After the first wash, you're clear to toss them in the machine with the rest of your laundry.
DO NOT
- Mix tie dye with any other items the first time you wash them.
- Wash with hot water
- Use bleach, even on white fabric
- Put sheer lingerie, fishnets, or stockings in the washer.
- Leave wet clothing sitting in the washer for extended periods of time
- Leave clothing running in the dryer for an expended period of time
- Repeated exposure to high temperatures or long dryer cycles will diminish the quality of most fabrics.
T-SHIRTS & TOPS (SOLIDS)
Use cold water only. Do not iron and do not use bleach on any items purchased at Festival Drip. Use color-safe detergent and avoid over-drying.
SHORTS & PANTS
Shorts and pants can be machine washed using cold water. Do not bleach.
HATS
Spot clean your hats when available and only machine wash when absolutely necessary. Use a hat cage to secure your hat when machine washing on delicate with cold water.
DELICATE LINGERIE, FISHNETS, STOCKINGS (SHEER & MESH FABRIC)
To maintain the quality and lifespan of these items it's best to hand wash them in warm water with a light soap.
This applies to items with delicate threads, mesh, fishnet, sheer (see through), or material which may rip if cleaned in a washing machine.
TIE DYE CLOTHING
All tie dye clothing must be washed by itself the first time to get out the excess dye. Use cold water in a washing machine. After that, your free to throw your tie dye clothing in with your regular machine wash.
BLANKETS
As with tie dye, blankets contain large amounts of dye that might run into other clothing if washed together. This is why it's best to wash blankets all by themselves in a washer with cold water.
Note that your blankets will lose their softness if they are exposed to extended periods of time spent in the dryer. To maintain quality, wash only when necessary.
FLAGS, BAGS & OTHER NON-APPAREL ACCESSORIES
These items must be spot cleaned. Dip a wash cloth in warm, soapy water and dab at the areas that need to be cleaned. Do not use bleach.
